Mecc Alte are an international alternator manufacturer based in Italy. It supplies to both independent and globally recognised companies in the marine, power, telecoms and prime power industries.
Mecc Alte realised that its brand perception varied greatly in different countries. The marketing teams approached us to investigate why this was the case and to understand how it could improve its brand perception in new markets.
To develop an in-depth comprehension of Mecc Alte’s brand standpoint and begin to create a solution, we carried out a multi-strategy project, which included listening to existing customers and developing an overview of what could be done to achieve the results they needed. To understand existing perceptions, we carried out multi-language social listening, international interviews with both internal teams and their customers and stakeholder focus groups. We used this research to compare Mecc Alte’s existing understanding of its brand and what the rest of the world was saying.
