Nationwide The Little Conversations Live

Back in December 2021, Nationwide Building Society had big plans to bring all its colleagues together for the first time since January 2017. The business wanted something that gave colleagues the chance to attend either virtually or face-to-face, but still gave everyone the same incredible experience and the same feeling of togetherness.

We sprang into action and got started with what was to become an unforgettable companywide event, The Little Conversations Live! We took existing Nationwide branding to the next level to give it that live event look and make the final broadcast feel like something really special for everyone involved. Everything we produced focused on getting colleagues from across the business talking frankly with each other as, for Nationwide, this event was all about making everyone in the business feel heard.

The business’ long-running Dragon’s Den style competition was a big feature of the final event. To make sure the Arthur Webb Challenge Cup section ran without a hitch, we pre-recorded the semi-finals over two days for inclusion in the main broadcast. We injected it with heaps of fun to make sure it wasn’t just highly visible, but something people were eager to engage with too. And that was just a few of the videos, stings and graphics we created – the list of engaging content we designed for this one was long!

In the final few days of planning, we had to ditch the live audience on The Little Conversations Live! in accordance with Covid-19 guidance, but the event didn’t suffer for it. It just became a lively broadcast rather than a hybrid experience and the whole Nationwide team was particularly impressed with how well we managed those last-minute changes. Taking place over three days, with five broadcasts, this was a mammoth event but there’s no question it was a hugely enjoyable one for all involved too.
