B&Q is pretty much the answer to every DIY and home improvement problem in the UK, but when it comes to creating incredible experiences for their internal teams… well, that’s where we come in. We’ve been working with the brand for some time, helping it to create not just quality experiences for its endless customers, but unforgettable moments for all its vital staff. Recently, the team at B&Q came to us in need of a leadership conference. We made sure it landed with a bang.
Making sure strategy at B&Q is taken from head office into the heart of every store is all up to a dedicated team of store managers across the UK. This event was designed to help them get a grasp of everything new coming to B&Q, while celebrating all the great things they’ve achieved over the past year. Together, we decided Edinburgh’s impressive International Conference Centre was the perfect setting for all that and more.
To bring our 650 delegates into the heart of B&Q from the very moment they stepped through the front doors, we designed bright, recognisable branding for every space. From registration through to the main presentation area and in both the awards and after party sections of the day, we built a cohesive look and feel with smart design. Drawing on brand colours and guidelines, the space felt uniquely B&Q and, adding some new flourishes, the event itself felt like something really special for everyone invited.
Store managers were given the opportunity to engage with senior leadership at every turn and senior leaders were able to reward excellence across the entire business. In short, the event delivered everything it set out to and met every one of B&Q’s aims for the day. Don’t know about you, but we’d call that a resounding success!
