Our brief was to create an animated film for the launch of Worcester Bosch’s new boiler - the first re-design of a boiler product in over 10 years - so this was a momentous event in the company’s history.
The updated style, function and overall purpose was to showcase how revolutionary the boiler was; not only intelligent but something that could be featured just like a washing machine or fridge – hence its focus on aesthetics.
We worked with the engineers of Bosch on what the boiler did, its exceptional functionality and technology, and how it captured a unique spot in the market. Our animation conveys a story of power and sophistication. It was important we articulated that the product was premium, hence the slick feel of the piece.
Nods to the tech at play and how it could fit in with everyday life were incorporated throughout, and we also commissioned a custom score for the animation so that it worked elegantly with the motion graphics.
The animated film was unveiled at the launch event, and subsequently cascaded across all social channels to continue driving momentum and excitement.
This remarkable project, which beautifully combines innovation and visual storytelling, has garnered well-deserved recognition. It was honoured with five awards, including the prestigious Gold for Motion Graphics and Effects at the Horizon Interactive Awards. This external acknowledgement further underscores the animation's excellence in showcasing Bosch's premium product and its technological prowess.
