The challenge creatively was to produce an engaging film using motion graphics and animation to give a broad overview of the Proteus and their objectives. As part of a complete brand launch, Proteus is described as a Digital Maritime Ecosystem. The driving force behind the digitalisation was to improve all aspects of the way they work – from fuel efficiency to decarbonisation and safety.
As a lot of the script talked about processes and conceptual ideas, we adopted a more abstract approach and created a digitally-aesthetic world for the narrative to unfold in. We used a combination of real-world textures and objects, blended with visual effects and cinematic camera animation to bring the whole piece together.
