Over 45 years of possible

DRPG began life in 1980 when ABBA and The Police were topping the charts, white trousers and perms were all the rage and the Ford Cortina was adorning driveways nationwide. Dale Parmenter founded DRP Films from the humble garden shed of his family home.

What started with a small film unit quickly grew into a business producing corporate video, and by 1988 we had expanded into the exciting area of event production. In 1989, we moved into what is now our headquarters, Studio 212 in Hartlebury.

From Vanilla Ice to Britney Spears, the 1990s was a decade of dynamic growth and diversification. Spreading our wings, we launched team development services in 1995, then expanded into digital media in 1999. The last year of the millennium saw us rebrand as DRP Group - uniting our video, events and multimedia divisions under one brand to provide integrated delivery for our clients.  

Although the same for businesses world-over, the noughties saw DRPG tested. In 2000 we developed a central creative and strategic communications team, followed by the launch of our venue finder service, Venuepot in 2003. In 2005 our print division was created, really adding the icing on the cake to our in-house model. That year also marked our 25th anniversary, when we launched our new corporate identity and the brand promise that still drives us today: anything’s possible.

In 2006 we opened our London office, and by 2007 had added incentive travel to our offer. By 2008 we were investing heavily in online communications platforms, and despite global challenges, continued to expand our capabilities and client partnerships. Although this decade ended with Bad Romance at number one, there was nothing but good chemistry here.

In 2012, we redeveloped our HQ into our purpose-built studio complex Studio 212, creating Europe’s largest corporate communications and production facility. We acquired Grosvenor Film in 2014 and launched our exhibitions division. 

By 2016, Studio 212 had doubled in size, and we launched our thought-leadership event, BigTalk. 2017 saw us acquire Windsor-based events agency Penguins, followed by corporate film specialists HMX in 2018. 

In 2019, DRPG went global, opening our German office in Cologne. We also announced a multimillion-pound expansion of our Hartlebury HQ.  

 

In 2020, we marked our 40th anniversary during the pandemic. And while it didn’t allow us to celebrate how we had hoped (scotch eggs and masks really weren’t going to cut it), it did prove our agility as we pivoted to digital delivery and supported communities with CSR initiatives. We also added Firehouse to our ever-growing family, followed by A-Vision in 2021. 

We proudly supported the Birmingham Commonwealth Games in 2022, and launched our US operation in Atlanta.

In 2023, we acquired UK creative marketing agency OWB and achieved B Corp certification, recognising decades of sustainable and responsible practice. Strengthening our North American presence, we acquired TSEC in 2024. 

Now in 2025, we celebrate our 45th anniversary with a team of 400 people across the UK, Europe and the US.
