Art Over Anger

Art Over Anger is a unique piece of artwork created by the Creative Studios team at DRPG. 

It’s aim is to inspire others to harnesses the power of their own creativity and channel emotional expression that mitigates conflict and reduce hate crimes in the local Worcestershire community. 

Rooted in the belief that creativity is a powerful tool to overcome aggression born out of misunderstandings, the project invites people to explore creative pastimes as a means of connecting with others and the ultimate antidote to hate. 

It’s design evokes an emotional connection and sense of self-confidence, empowering people to choose expression over escalation. We want to inspire communities to build a stronger, more compassionate society where empathy, dialogue and understanding flourish.  

The arts elicit an emotional response, and through exploring and sharing different creative pursuits, a profound effect can be had on dismantling fear, ignorance and prejudice that are the roots of hatred. 

The DRPG Creative Studios team, in collaboration with Victim Support Gateway, created the artwork which will be making appearances around various locations across Worcestershire. It offers a striking representation of its meaning and purpose, resonating with the Worcestershire community.
