Direct Line Group is one of the UK’s largest insurance companies. The Group are great advocates of diversity and inclusion and strive to continuously embed this in its internal communications. Its most recent and ongoing campaign supports efforts to build a group-wide inclusive culture, focused on their people and celebrating their individuality. The #ThisIsMe campaign shares the stories of colleagues to showcase the everyday employees that make Direct Line Group a great place to work.
DRPG filmed colleagues in work and their home environments, capturing their poignant stories and personal journeys that make them who they are today. The launch of the videos was supported by collateral including an intranet takeover, digital posters, web banners and pull-up banners to amplify the campaign’s presence in physical reception areas, and bespoke e-postcards that were sent to colleagues. The videos were also shared on the Group’s social channels and website, and to continue momentum, regular blogs written by participants of the videos are featured monthly, with colleagues encouraged to promote and share on their own social media networks.
The campaign is ongoing, and the Group has seen a real positive culture change as a result, with even more dialogues with colleagues listening more to each other and openness across the business that truly encourages employees to bring their whole selves to work.
