Technical Warehouse Technician

Reporting to:
Technical Warehouse Manager


To maintain and prepare all technical equipment for an event or live show. To liaise and work closely with the technicians, production and project managers to ensure that their requirements are met, and an excellent level of service provided.

Principle duties

  • The preparation of equipment to specification, notifying relevant personnel of any area of concern. This includes the testing of equipment; cleaning of equipment; identifying faults; checking for equipment compatibility; looking for improvements/alternative solutions.
  • To return equipment to its designated storage area after an event, identifying and marking faulty items as they are found and reporting any defects to the Technical Warehouse Manager.
  • To assist in the maintenance of all technical equipment and cabling.
  • To load and unload equipment for projects, various transportation and drpg stores as required.
  • Ensure all equipment, flight-cases and cables are labelled correctly.
  • To collect and return equipment from suppliers as required.
  • Keeping the technical warehouse and surrounding areas tidy and clean.
  • To maintain a positive attitude towards Health & Safety and comply with the Group policies.
  • To represent, always, the reputation of DRP Group by maintaining a clean and tidy appearance and wearing company uniform as outlined in the company handbook.

  • Proven ability to deliver a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety

  • Self-motivated and able to work under their own initiative, with an enthusiastic and flexible approach to their work
  • Organised and good housekeeping skills
  • The ability to inspire confidence in those they work with
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Resourcefulness and ability to problem solve and trouble shoot
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Approachable manner and ability to work under pressure
  • Basic IT skills and networking knowledge
  • Previous industry experience (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of Audio/Video/Lighting systems (desirable)

Other requirements

  • Forklift truck licence (desirable)
  • Full, clean drivers’ licence

Further notes

The role will be based primarily in our Worcestershire head office and will require regular travel to other office locations. You will be expected to work flexibly and undertake other related commercial duties both in the UK and overseas as the company may from time to time reasonably require.
