Marketing Strategy Creative Director

Reporting to:
Director of Communications


You’ll interpret and lead strategic direction, marketing material, internal comms and advertising, resulting in integrated campaigns that exceed the client’s brief and build engagement. You’ll propose creative concepts and present strategic thinking, managing multiple projects to hard deadlines. You’ll already have creative and conceptual flair, coupled with sound strategic thinking, all of which is backed up with knowledge of tactical delivery to produce tangible results.

Principle duties

You’ll work mainly with the campaign team but will support other areas of the business to:
  • Manage the creation and delivery of campaign strategy, assets and content, and support teams in the delivery of a range of campaign and comms projects
  • Work along side the account team, design, writing and social media teams and support the work that is produced across all channels.
  • Produce concepts, strategies and products that will continue to both drive DRPG Comms into the future and meet and challenge client objectives
  • Write compelling proposals and general copy as well as evaluating and ensuring the quality of creative content for new business and client pitches
  • Effectively lead and support teams across DRPG in the delivery of creative briefs
  • Work efficiently and effectively under pressure, ability to use own initiative and make calculated decisions regarding specific projects, consulting the Director or Head of Campaign as appropriate
  • Be active in client meetings
  • Make creative and content work successfully across all channels
  • Produce on-brand, on-budget creative strategies and campaigns
  • Be cool about working on many projects at the same time
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the DRPG team
  • Understand clients’ needs and keep them happy with gorgeous work and great communication

  • Must have tons of similar experience, ideally within an agency environment
  • Extensive and practical marcomms knowledge;B2B and B2C, internal and external
  • Outstanding writing and grammar chops with refined proofreading and editing skills
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • You should be able to articulately demonstrate a portfolio that showcases your expertise across all channels

  • You are happy to lead a variety of stakeholders, socialising your work –and that of the Comms function –and iterating with feedback
  • You work confidently, collaboratively and closely with writers, designers, developers and account managers to ensure creative and strategy meets both business and client requirements
  • Someone who doesn’t surrender –we strive to get the job done, no matter what
  • Fantastic communication skills and lots of banter

Further notes

The role will be based primarily in our Worcestershire head office. There will be times when this role will require you to work from the company’s other offices. You will be expected to work flexibly and undertake other related commercial duties both in the UK and overseas as the company may from time to time reasonably require.
