Senior Motion Graphics Designer

Purpose

Working as a senior member of the Motion team to develop, design and produce computer generated graphics and animation for a wide variety of communication solutions. You will help drive the development and growth of the team through taking an active role in supporting business development, sharing and encouraging technical and creative knowledge and acting as a mentor to the wider motion team in supporting them in their professional development.

Principle duties

  • Support the Director of Media and the Head of Motion with internal and external activity to promote the departments products and services
  • Share knowledge, experience and provide mentoring to the wider Motion team
  • Explore and introduce new technologies and innovations to support the development and progression of the team
  • Improve existing ways of working and research new processes and procedures to encourage best practice and professionalism
  • Support the Head of Motion with the team’s professional development
  • Support the Head of Motion with operational activity to drive efficiency, encourage creativity and deliver profitability
  • Take internal and external briefs, develop concepts and creative solutions and help lead the Motion team to execute
  • Provide production estimates on behalf of the Motion team
  • Monitor and evaluate the production of the Motion team to ensure deadlines are met and quality is of an agreed standard
  • Take the Motion team creative lead on key projects and campaigns

Experience

  • Computer generated design
  • Graphic design
  • Motion graphics and animation
  • Proficient in using software packages such as Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Cinema 4D (and others where appropriate)

Further notes

The role can be based from our offices in Worcestershire, Midlands or London and will require regular travel to other office locations. You will be expected to work flexibly and undertake other related commercial duties both in the UK and overseas as the company may from time to time reasonably require.
