On the 27th and 28th of July, on behalf of trusted charity MIMN (Meetings Industry Meeting Needs) the drp construction, warehouse and print teams are joining together for a mammoth 24 hour Ergo rowing challenge. The team will use four ergo machines and working in relays they will attempt to row as many metres as possible. Everyone will have the chance to get involved in the fundraising event all for a great cause. By simply guessing how many metres you think will be covered by the 4 machines in the 24 hour period, you can win a fantastic prize. The closest guess to the distance covered will be the winner. Each guess will cost £2.00 and all of the proceeds will go directly to charity MIMN.
The drpteam are hosting ‘The Ergo Challenge’ in order to raise £1,000 for this fantastic cause and its projects. MIMN (Meetings Industry Meeting Needs) is the charity of the meetings and events industry, who bring together venues, agencies and suppliers to raise funds and change lives for the better. By raising money through charity partnerships and fundraising events they support small tangible projects that may not otherwise have access to funding; and that have a direct impact on the quality of life for individuals and communities worldwide.
This challenge makes up number 30 of drp’s promise to deliver 35 CSR challenges in their 35th year. The team have already completed several CSR projects including the Great Rickshaw Rally, also on behalf of industry charity MIMN which to date has raised over £4,000. Other projects have included abseiling the arcelormittal orbit in Stratford for charity Springboard UK and supporting the fundraising initiatives for the South London Younger Parkinson’s network.
Samme Allen, Board Member of Meeting Industry Meeting Needs said "After the success of drp’s Great Rickshaw rally which raised over £4,000 for Meeting Needs, we are really excited about the Ergo Challenge and delighted once again that drp have chosen to raising money for worthy causes via MIMN."
