2017 has been an epic year for the drpteam on so many levels, we’ve seen our relationships with existing accounts develop and grow, whilst welcoming many new clients into our family.
Our investment in all areas of the business has continued. We are heavily reliant on technology so continual investment in the latest innovations is vital, along with our ever-growing R&D into new techniques. This investment in facilities and infrastructure have allowed us to diversify into new areas around digital solutions, social media campaigns and using the studio complex to host such programmes as Channel 5’s Gadget show.
Our external client educational program lead by Head of Insight & Innovation Callum Gill, and the drptalk’s, which have become an extremely popular platform to share knowledge and keep our clients informed as to the latest ways of working across our industry. Over 60 online blogs have been produced, 3 drptalk dinners, and the second drpbigtalk, held at the drpHQ in September, seeing over 150 clients and industry experts enjoy a day and evening of education and networking.
We expanded the group’s family back in September, when event agency Penguins became part of the group. The Windsor based company is extremely well respected within the industry and is a fantastic cultural fit within the group. They will continue under the Penguins brand as we support them to grow and develop further.
With a growing team, we’ve had a fantastic 47 new starters this year, bringing us to a total of 231 team members. Following this growth, we launched the drpacademy, bringing together all the great team development initiatives under one umbrella. Using a combination of internal and external training providers, we have had a diverse programme of activity, from the board through to the entire organisation. Our investment in people has been recognised again this year as we were awarded for the 6th year running, 'Investors in People' Gold status.
