Merry Christmas from drp
2016 has certainly been year of surprises and challenges, and at drp we decided to take a ‘business as usual’ approach with investment in the future being our theme for the year.
Here’s a reflection on what the drpteam have been doing to push onward and continue with certainty, not uncertainty!
In September we made a huge investment in our drp Head Office doubling the size of our facilities. Our 4.2 acre site in the Midlands is the largest corporate creative production facility of its kind in the U.K. It includes 8 fully-equipped edit suites, 3 state-of-the-art studios, digital innovation labs, a dedicated print facility, 3D projection cinema, construction centre, contemporary design suite, and fresh new additions, ‘The Park’ and Studio 3.
There has been a significant expansion at drp in all divisions of the company during the past two years, and this growth will continue into 2017. With our new office expansion, we now have even more room to grow. Our team consists of a total of 180 people, who are individuals with the ‘anything's possible’ mind-set inherent in their work ethos.
We’ve recognised the need not only to maintain our excellent creative and technical delivery of comms projects, but also to provide analysis and justification for our solutions. drpBIGtalk was the largest in a series of thought leadership (drptalk) events we have been running with clients that allow us to share this insight, as well as our thoughts on how the industry will develop over the coming years.
With website hacking and computer viruses an everyday threat to businesses, it is essential to be completely watertight with information security. We feel, as a business, it is our responsibility to not only protect our data, but those of our clients too. During this year, we were awarded ISO27001, which is the international standard for information security management.
In 2016, we have pushed the environmental boundaries, winning Sustainable Event Provider of the Year and continuing to support local charities with events, fundraising and more. The drpteam has done everything from a 13.1 mile half marathon run through Central London for Meeting Needs, to producing the Strictly Worcestershire event for local cancer charities, as well as volunteering in a homeless shelter to name a few. At this years Sustainable Event Summit, drp was highlighted as the business model everyone should follow when it comes to sustainability.
Here’s what we have been up to in 2016 in numbers:

…including EE, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and Herbert Smith Freehills.
…such as Employer of the Year at Worcestershire Apprenticeship Employer Awards, IT and Telecoms Event of the Year with EE, and ‘Best Consumer Website’ at the DigiAwards with Worcester Bosch and for the second year running video production of the year at the CorpComms awards
