Creative Artworker

Your reason for being here…

Everyone at DRPG has a purpose and yours is to ensure the audiences that experience everything we design receive the highest level of visual perfection.

The way you roll…

You have a great eye for detail and can spot potential problems a mile off. You love all things design and find nothing more satisfying than seeing work produced to the very highest standards. It doesn’t matter whether it’s for print or digital, campaigns, events, websites, or exhibition installations, you’re ready to receive designs and turn them into super accurate, production ready formats. You always make sure final artwork meets our clients’ needs and is just what our production teams are looking for so they can begin doing their thing.

You know your way around the design business and are confident taking the lead when necessary. You want to share your knowledge with the wider Design team and are always ready to learn new things. Our philosophy here at DRPG is ‘anything’s possible’, so you will need to be onboard with going above and beyond.

How you make it all possible…

  • Working hard to support the Artwork Manager in all things – you’re their number two
  • Staying organised in everything you do to make sure all is understood and delivered upon in the allotted time
  • Interpreting and producing multiple pieces of accurate artwork for production
  • Working closely with the Design team to ensure their vision is realised
  • Paying close attention to detail and making sure your execution is error-free
  • Handling numerous briefs, requests and deadlines doesn’t bother you – you're pretty much unflappable
  • Retouching, reworking or interpreting designs, customising typography, colour balancing, resizing documents and eliminating inconsistencies
  • Drawing on your unmatched knowledge of production techniques, while staying mindful of things like budget and lead times
  • Supporting and mentoring the wider Design team in the skill of art working
  • Liaising with both external and internal teams, acting as the first point of contact for everything that needs to be art worked in the absence of the Artwork Manager
  • Working to tight deadlines – you take pride in never missing one, ever
  • This list is not exhaustive, and you will be expected to work flexibly and undertake other such duties as the management may, from time to time, reasonably require.

What’s in your toolbox…

  • At least five years’ experience in the design industry and an established role as a senior, working in full service creative agencies
  • Hefty experience of working with corporate organisations and blue-chip brands
  • Cracking examples of your work that showcase your skill
  • Confidence when it comes to communication
  • Solid knowledge of technologies, standards and methodologies that relate to the requirements of the role
  • Encyclopaedic knowledge of traditional print, large format and digital production
  • Great software skills, including Adobe CS, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

Get to know us…

We’re one of the most unexpectedly all-round capable communications agencies that’s been on the go for years – ever since our head honcho set up shop in a shed back in 1980, in fact.

Since then, we’ve made it our mission to make anything possible for our many and varied clients, putting our creative flair into delivering strategic communication campaigns, digital solutions, film and videos, events, exhibitions, and a whole lot more in between. We’ve grown a lot, but we’ve kept everything that made us great, back from the very day we first started out. Our global HQ and largest studios are smack bang in the middle of the UK and well worth a visit to see for yourself!

Hang on, there’s more…

The role will be based primarily in Hartlebury, but there will be times when you’ll need to work from our other offices and undertake other related commercial duties both in the UK and overseas. Flexibility is key! We’re a friendly team. We really, really welcome anyone who wants to become part of a brilliant company. If you’re passionate with a cracking drive to deliver on our ‘anything’s possible’ mindset, we’d love to hear from you!
