BT was back in the room, and with the launch of New EE on the horizon, this annual conference had to be turned up a level. So we delivered an experience. With a colossal wraparound LED screen, immersive breakouts, and a buzzing expo space, the 4,500-strong audience were right at the heart of BT’s new consumer vision. And when the business strategy was revealed, every single one of the 24,000 Consumer colleagues became a founder of the future.

CHALLENGE

For the first time in over two years, BT’s Consumer Live conference would be in-person, so it needed to come back with a bang! New EE was about to launch.

INSIGHT

We had to build the story for one shared EE, BT and Plusnet future with everyone, regardless of their brand. The brands were about to take on new roles for customers, and colleagues' journey began here.

SOLUTION

We delivered a one-day event, with a Main Stage arena, 1,000-person breakout space, an experience-led, immersive exhibition and key partner integration. The technical production was class-leading, with a 45-metre by 6-metre LED Main Stage, wrapping the 4,500 live audience in sensory content. BT also launched their new internal strategy at this event, where all 24,000 Consumer colleagues became founders of the new strategy, making everyone feel connected and part of the same team. 

As evening arrived, we celebrated the people of BT. Celebrities Rylan Clark, Emma Willis, and Divina de Campo hosted the Big Consumer Show Live, which included awards, entertainment sections, prize, and one Apple Music Act (rapper and YouTuber KSI). The Big Show turned hybrid, too. More people watched the show than work for Consumer, which shows real colleague advocacy.

IMPACT

The event received external recognition winning three awards including Gold in the Conference category at the Eventex Awards. This accolade further underscores the event's success in not only engaging BT's internal audience but also in capturing the attention and admiration of a wider audience, making it a truly standout celebration.
